Malala Yousafzai Graces TIME’s 100 Most Influential People List

Malala; image @UniteWomenFacebookLovely Malala Yousafzai from Pakistan, was only 14-years old, when she was shot in the head by the Taliban, and left to die. Their aim was to silence her, because Malala had been fighting for the education of girls, who are abused and suppressed around the world. News of the attempted murder shocked the masses, and blazed through social media. Protests began, petitions were started, and people rallied around Malala as if she were their own child. There was an outpour of love and support, as everyday people proclaimed,”We Are Malala”. Miraculously, Malala not only survived, she recovered from her injuries and was back in school within six months.
Chelsea Clinton:
“Malala is now where she wants to be: back in school. The Taliban almost made Malala a martyr;  they succeeded in making her a symbol. The memoir she is writing to raise awareness about the 61 million children around the world who are not in school indicates she accepts that unasked-for responsibility as a synonym for courage and a champion for girls everywhere. However Malala concludes her book, her story so far is only just beginning.”
Now at 15, Malala has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize . And today, she joins the list of  TIME’s 100 Most Influential People In The World, with the likes of President Obama, Pope Francis, Sheryl Sandburg, Gabrielle Giffords, and Beyonce’. The world loves this girl, and it’s no wonder. Malala has a relentlessness, courageous, and remarkable young spirit that drives her to fight for good. She is amazing. And as seen in this short video, she is also quite darling.
